The Best Times To Tweet To Get Maximum Visibility

By: Michael Sim

After reviewing several different studies and 3rd party applications, I have determined the following schedule shows the time periods of highest viewer potential of tweets in the Chicagoland area (CST). I will make a safe assumption that these times will be similar for most local areas (no need to adjust for timezone). Most workdays start at the same time, most people go through similar thought-patterns throughout their day, and so on. However, if you would like to determine the times that are the most popular for your area, visit Tweriod. There is also a short summary review below the schedule that tells you more about the application.

Tweriod allows you to scan up to 5,000 of your followers in order to determine the highest peak usage times. You can sort results by Weekend (Fri, Sat), Sunday, Monday, and Weekdays. I found this sorting to be much more accurate than any other method that I found during a Google search. It seemed that many people guessed, had opinions, or tried advanced analytics tools that were far too complicated for the average user. With Tweriod, I simply allow the application to connect with my Twitter account, wait a short period of time, and look in my DM box for an alert when my results are ready. The great part is I can download all the results in one convenient printable PDF.
